During the summer our Summer Academic Enrichment program offers an all day, 8-week elementary school-age program for Kindergarten – Fifth graders that provides an energetic, academic curriculum that includes reinforcement of literacy and math skills combined with a variety of exciting recreational and arts and crafts activities. Children will have the opportunity to explore the arts, the sciences, sports and recreation, photography, nature and books through hands-on activities and experiences that will stimulate their creativity, develop new skills, and provide opportunities to build new friendships.

Weekly field trips will take students adventures beyond the center and out into the community. Children will be trekking through the region to parks, museums, and local events to explore the sights, sounds, and happenings of the city. To further enhance their discoveries, special visitors will share their unique talents, skills, and expertise with the children.

Each session will culminate with an expo of students’ work and class projects for families and friends on the final Friday of each session at 4:45 p.m.

Our goal is to provide a foundation of experiences that fosters the growth and development of children in a safe and nurturing environment. The Summer Academic Enrichment program serves 45 children daily and 60 unduplicated children annually.

Ages: 6 to 12 years old (Kindergarten - 5th grade)

When: Monday through Friday,
            9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
            Four 2-week sessions are offered during the months of June, July, and August.
            Dates vary from year to year. Registration takes place in early spring.

Cost:  Full days: $175 for every two-week session
           No Half Days offered
           Early drop off / late pick up $20 per two-week session
           $25 registration fee for each two-week session your child will be attending
