Our Parent Advisory Board meetings continue to provide Portola Family Connections with vital feedback and ideas directly from the community on how to improve our programs. The Parent Advisory Board has reviewed children’s safety in the center’s CPDI program and offered suggestions on how to better improve monitoring of children; they also suggested that we feature an “animals and farm” theme during the month of October. In response to this the Parent Advisory Board and staff worked together to plan and incorporate a farm and animals curriculum. To complement the curriculum our Parent Advisory Board members suggested that Family Connections take families to Lemos Farm in Half Moon Bay.
